Lern-/Qualifikationsziele

  • Preparation for the globally recognized “Professional Scrum Master I” Certificate from Scrum.org at low cost (September 2024: ca. 68 USD for one certification exam with student discount)!
  • Students need to be motivated to: a. study Scrum (in particular the Scrum Guide) in detail + b. work with Multiple-Choice Questions!

Subject-specific competencies:

  • Students acquire a deep understanding of the Agile Mindset
  • Students know the differences between traditional project management and Agile Management/Scrum
  • Students will have a very detailed understanding of all elements (and their interactions) included in the Scrum Framework
  • Students can apply many elements of the Scrum Framework, because the lecture uses
    the eduScrum-Approach

Methodological competencies:

  • Students know the steps of the Scrum Approach in detail
  • Students can experience and apply various agile methods, because the lecture uses the eduScrum-Approach
  • Students know and practice how to deal with the specifics/challenges of Multiple-Choice Questions/Exams

Interdisciplinary competencies:

  • Students practice to work in teams using the eduScrum-Approach to improve their “4Cs”: Communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity.
    Also eduScrum supports Personal + Team Development.

Lehrinhalt

This course offers a unique opportunity to learn Scrum and prepare for the Professional Scrum Master I certification by getting to know and experiencing eduScrum.

Scrum is the most popular and widely used agile approach and is therefore very relevant for business and a crucial future skill for students. It emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and continuous improvement for successful project execution.

Through the innovative eduScrum approach, students experience Scrum and engage in interactive and practical learning. eduScrum is an active form of teaching in which teams of learners work on tasks within a fixed rhythm. They plan and determine their own steps in the process, while the lecturer supports them as a coach.

Additionally, students are prepared for the globally recognized Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org at low cost. This certification validates Scrum Master knowledge and skills, enhancing career prospects. By participating in this course, students expand their expertise and immerse themselves in the topic of Agile Management and Scrum.

Course Organization and Registration

  • Limited number of 24 students
  • Prerequisites: Knowledge of traditional project management and basic knowledge of Agile Management / Scrum (overall ca. 6 ECTS) + Confident in English (Level B2 – Upper intermediate)
