Technology • radio channel characteristics and signal propagation • antenna basics and antenna types for wireless communications • diversity strategies in wireless communications (including MIMO) • spread spectrum technology and code division multiple access (CDMA) • orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDM) • cognitive radio • present and future developments in wireless communications
Learning objectives: Subject-specific competencies: • knowledge on physical and technical aspects of wireless communication systems • basic expertise in component design of wireless communication systems
Methodological competencies: • ability to plan and design wireless communication services • design of robust and interference resistant wireless communication technology
